The Culture tab is one of the five main tabs in TerraGenesis. In the Culture tab, Culture Points can be spent to increase the progress of the "Independence Movement" of the planet you are colonizing. Having more Culture Points spent on Independence brings you closer to having completed the colonization of a planet. Culture Points can also be used to influence several policies. Each point added to a policy will increase one factor by 5% while decreasing the other by 5%, for an up to 50% bonus in either direction. The policies and the factors they influence are listed below.

Economy: This affects Construction speed and Biomass growth rate. An industrial economy increases construction speed, while an ecological economy increases biomass growth.

Eco-Policy: This affects Biomass growth rate and the amount a Habitation facility can hold. A transformative eco-policy increases biomass growth, while a conservative eco-policy increases the amount of people habitations can hold.

Government: This affects Financial growth and Population growth. A plutocratic government increases financial production, while a democratic government increases population growth.

Values: This affects Research speed and Financial growth. A knowledge-based values system increases the speed at which researches are unlocked, while a financial-based values system increases financial production.

Culture Points are gained by reaching certain population count thresholds, or alternatively, by getting random events that grant Culture Points. Currently, Culture Points are the only way to 'win' the game.
